Regional Tourism Bureaus, Airport to Host Community Party for National Travel & Tourism Week

Visit Sarasota County, Bradenton Area Convention & Visitors Bureau, and Sarasota Bradenton International Airport will host the celebration – and raffle off airline tickets – on May 6

A regional celebration of travel and tourism is clear for takeoff at the Sarasota Bradenton International Airport’s new Concourse A on May 6 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Hosted jointly by the Bradenton Area Convention & Visitors Bureau, Visit Sarasota County, and SRQ Airport, the National Travel & Tourism Week (NTTW) event will provide local bites and beverages, live music, and awards for the hospitality professionals who keep the industry flying high, including the coveted Voice of Sarasota recognition.

Attendees will also be entered into a raffle for a pair of airline tickets, courtesy of Allegiant Air, and complimentary airport transfers – either to/from SRQ or TPA – generously offered by Dolphin Transportation.

“As visitors increasingly create itineraries across county lines, tourism here in Sarasota and Manatee counties is becoming more regional in perspective – so it’s only fitting we celebrate this trend with collaboration,” said Erin Duggan, President and CEO of Visit Sarasota County. “If you’re a local business looking to tap into our bustling tourism economy or connect regionally with others in the industry, this year’s National Travel & Tourism Week event is for you.”

Originally created by the U.S. Travel Association, National Travel & Tourism Week is celebrated annually in May by tourism and hospitality organizations across the United States to highlight travel’s role in driving economic growth and strengthening communities. Regionally, tourism remains the top industry in both Sarasota and Manatee, generating $4 billion and $2 billion respectively in each county.

Tickets for the 2025 celebration are already on sale for $25.00 per person and can be purchased online at https://visitsarasotacounty.ticketspice.com/2025-national-travel-tourism-week-celebration- through April 28.
