Visible Men Academy - SHINE ON! 2025 Gala

Join us for an inspirational fundraising evening to support VMA students. Visible Men Academy (VMA) is delighted to host it largest annual fundraiser of the year – SHINE ON! – on Friday, April 25, 2025. The evening will celebrate and inspire the promise of VMA, a tuition-free charter school serving boys in grades K-5. The event will be held at the Ora, located at 578 McIntosh Road, Sarasota, beginning at 6pm.

This year’s Shine On! guest speaker is Ray Sherman, a former football coach with more than four decades’ experience coaching at the college and professional levels. Sherman played defensive back and wide receiver while at college. He spent his career in the National Football League (NFL) from 1988 to 2019, finishing his career as the interim wide receivers coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Over his twenty-eight years of coaching his teams compiled a cumulative win/loss record of 246-201-1.
