Sarasota Orchestra - Adagio for Strings

Barber’s String Quartet is best known for its searing Adagio, one of classical music’s most recognizable works. Hear it in its original form as the second movement of Barber’s complete quartet. Bernstein’s final work, the Dance Suite for brass quintet, honors one of the 20th century’s great choreographers. Music by Frank Bridge and Ravel’s Le Tombeau de Couperin complete the program.
