Lee Association for Remarkable Citizens (LARC), a nonprofit organization devoted to empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), is thrilled to announce the seventh annual “Aiming for Ability” Clay Shooting Tournament on Friday, May 2, 2025. The event will take place outdoors at Sarasota Trap Skeet & Clays, located at 3445 Rustic Road in Nokomis. All proceeds will go directly to support LARC’s vital programs and services, helping individuals with IDD unlock their full potential.
Last year’s tournament raised $30,000 to benefit the remarkable individuals served by LARC. With your participation, we aim to surpass that milestone this year and make an even bigger impact!
The day promises an exciting mix of camaraderie, purpose, and fun in the great outdoors. Registration kicks off at 8:45 a.m., followed by a mandatory safety briefing at 9:30 a.m. At 10:00 a.m., participants will set off to test their aim, all in the spirit of supporting a great cause. The event will wrap up with lunch, awards, and a chance to win exciting auction items. The entry Fee is $200 per person which includes lunch, ear protection, 100 targets, 4 boxes of ammunition, and a golf cart. Sponsorships start at $750, with options for foursomes and marketing incentives. Shotgun rentals are available for an additional fee. Awards for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams. Open to participants 18 and older.

Every shot taken supports their journey toward independence, success, and fulfillment.”
LARC has been a cornerstone of the Lee County community since 1954, offering life skills and vocational training, residential services, and a wide range of programs that promote inclusion and personal growth. Each year, more than 300 individuals, ranging from 14 to 83 years old, benefit from LARC’s life-changing services.

Established in 1954, LARC is a training center for success for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. LARC serves more than 300 individuals annually, and participants range from 14 to 83.
LARC offers life skills vocational training, youth programs, community residential and employment services, and a vast array of other state-of-the-art community inclusion services on a full-time, year-round basis.
